New Jersey's Interdistrict Public School Choice Program enables approved choice districts to enroll students who do not reside within their districts without cost to their parents. The program increases educational opportunities for students and their families by providing students with school options outside of their district of residence and giving parents the power to select a school program that best serves their child's individual needs.
Upper Pittsgrove School District is a proud participant of the Interdistrict Public School Choice Program for grades 1 - 8 (Pre-K and Kindergarten are not eligible for Choice at this time). The application period for the 2020-2021 school year has opened, and our profile of available seats is listed below the instructions. The deadline to apply is December 3, 2019 .
*Please Note: Upper Pittsgrove School is a terminal choice district. This means the choice option does not follow through to high school.
Application Instructions (Links to forms are located below the instructions):
1. Complete the School Choice Application for the appropriate school year and return or email it to the Upper Pittsgrove School District Office no later than the deadline listed above.
2. Complete the Notice of Intent to Participate form and return it to the student's Resident District no later than the deadline listed above.
Parents/Guardians will be notified of Conditional Acceptance, Rejection or Wait Listing on or about December 21 annually.
Please Note: Applications may be submitted for seats in grades with no space availability to be added to a wait list in the event seats become available. In the event that more applications than the number of available seats listed are received, a lottery will be held to determine the awarding of that seat. Any applicants not chosen via the lottery will remain on the wait list.
