In an effort to ensure the safety and security of all Upper Pittsgrove School students, a change was made to the Transportation Policy 3541 at the June 20, 2018 Board of Education meeting.
A summary of the change is as follows:
Bus Students: If a parent/guardian is not present at time of bus drop-off for students through grade 3, it will be necessary that the student shall be returned to the school to ensure the safety of the student. Students in grades 4-8 may be left at the unattended stop.
Carpool Students: All carpool students must be picked up by 3:30 p.m.
In the event a bus student is returned to the school or a carpool student is not picked up by 3:30 p.m., they will be placed in the district’s Latchkey program and appropriate fees will be assessed. Students must be picked up from Latchkey no later than 6:00 p.m. Please refer policy the Transportation Policy 3541 for further details.
Additionally, please be advised any changes to dismissal (bus to carpool and vice versa) shall be made by 3:00 p.m. No changes will be accepted past this time, and students will go home per their usual mode of transportation.
A complete copy of the entire Upper Pittsgrove School Policy manual may be found in the BOE tab here . If you have any questions concerning this change, please feel free to contact the school at your convenience.
